Quit Pickin' On Me!
So... I was politely informed by a dear friend yesterday that I have not posted in quite some time. So this is for YOU Dorothy...
Joe and I are still doing great. No major issues as of yet, although he snores... A LOT. We were just saying to ourselves how well we are doing living together. I love him!
My job is still going good. We've been extra busy - according to Probation, we are now dealing with all of the bozos from the holidays that like to use their fists instead of words when communicating with their "loved" ones. It is sad really... How these people are so dependent on alcohol and drugs and then they are in this pattern of violence and substance abuse. Our program tries to help them overcome violent communication, but since substance abuse plays such a big part in it... It is like a cycle they cannot overcome unless they really want to work at it. It always makes me sad when a person decides to spend their time in jail instead of taking advantange of this program that allows them to practice positive skills and stay in contact with their family. *Sigh*
On a happier note... I must make a correction to my blog. The caption of the photo of Madalyne Grace - She is actually my second niece. Seth married Bethany who has a daughter named Elani, so she is my first niece, and Madalyne is my second. My bad... Madalyne is so frickin' adorable. I will have to get a photo of all of them and post it. They really are a cute family. And Elani has really taken to Joe... He is so cute when he plays with kids.
Well... I think that is all the news I have to date. I wish I had something cool to post or a neat picture, but I don't! Until next time...

Help... Me...
I am wondering how to download or use a layout that has columns on both sides of the main posting area... I cannot seem to figure it out! I am open to any and all suggestions...
Thank you in advance...
Thank you in advance...
Our kitty Mooz
On Valentine's Day, Joe and I went to the Humane's Society and adopted a kitty. Her given name was Toreo (I looked everywhere for a meaning), but we decided to call her Mooz because she is black and white and Joe thinks she looks like a little cow.
Mooz is our "special" kitty... I have yet to catch a picture of her, but every once in awhile she will sit in the middle of our living room with wide eyes and her tongue hanging out of her mouth staring out in space.
We also think she might have been a dog in her past life. She begs, scavanges in the kitchen while we cook, and when we eat on the couch she will sit in between Joe's legs and stare at him - without blinking!
But all in all, she is the cutest kitty in the world... In the universe! Well, maybe in MY universe. Mooz was one of the only kitties that came up to us in the kitty room and she just wanted to be pet and loved... So we took her home!
As a warning... On Saturdays, the Humane Society has a special for kitties - "Two for $20" - So unless you want two, DO NOT go on Saturdays!

My First Blog!
Hello everyone -
This is my very first blog... A virgin blogger as you will.
You can all thank the Bassett family women for this exciting new adventure I am about to trek upon. I was first hooked on reading the blogs when McKenna was born and now... Now, I have to admit that I get alittle annoyed when their blogs are not updated on a constant basis. We'll have to work on that ladies! Haha!
So I am at work at the moment and have run out of things to do (I'm just so efficient) and so I decided to take the time to play around with this blog. What a fantastic way to spend quality work time!! It is so interesting how easy it is to change the background color or change the picture. How do you like my orangutang?? Cute huh??
Since I have just started, you will have to bear with me on the pictures and extras that can be added - The Bassett women have such elaborate blog pages - I'm jealous. I hope to have such exquisite blogwork as theirs...
I hope you enjoy this as much as I know I will...
